Mariel Leclère is a neuropsychologist with a diverse range of experiences in the field (e.g. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy – CBT, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing – EMDR, Neurofeedback in qEEG, Ericksonian Hypnosis…). She obtained her master’s degree in psychology and Neuropsychology of Cognitive Disturbances from the University of Aix-Marseille in France in 2009. Her studies focused on understanding cognitive impairments and their impact on individuals.
In 2012, Mariel completed her Ph.D. at Aix-Marseille University, where her research led her to work as a lecturer and assistant researcher in the laboratory of Clinical Psychology and Psychopathology at Aix-Marseille University. Mariel began working as a neuropsychologist at the Madeleine Rémuzat Clinic in Marseille, France. This clinic specializes in providing care for older adults, particularly those suffering from conditions such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Lewy Body Dementia, and Frontotemporal Dementia. She has also worked at the Hospital of the Instruction of Armies (HIA of Laveran) in Marseille. In addition to her clinical and research work, Mariel developed her own practice, providing cognitive assessments and proposing procedures for cognitive rehabilitation. Her aim was to help both young and older adults improve their cognitive capacities and enhance their daily lives. In 2019, she founded NeuroPsy.Co, offering neuropsychology consultations from her office in Saint-Cannat, France.
In September 2021, Mariel joined RIT Kosovo (RITK) as an adjunct lecturer, teaching Introduction to Psychology. Currently, she holds a full-time position as a Mental Health Consultant at RITK. Since October 2022, she has also been conducting neuropsychological assessments for children and adolescents referred by different international schools in Prishtina and from May 2023, she provides diagnostic and therapeutic consultations at the Rreze Dielli clinic alongside Mr. sc.
